Discover your type

A two-minute quiz shows your type. In Ayurveda, the traditional Indian approach to wellbeing, this is called your dosha: a mix of Vata, Pitta and Kapha. You get percentages, not a label. Retake it whenever it stops feeling true.

Hear the right music

Indian classical music, chosen for your type and the time of day. Each piece is a raga, a traditional melody with its own hour. This follows the samay system Hindustani musicians have used for centuries. The music for a Wind-type evening is not the music for an Earth-type morning.

See your day clearly

Connect Apple Health and Arogya can give you a daily score, the Arogya Index. It blends your heart rate variability, sleep, resting heart rate, how consistently you listen, and how you say you are feeling. It needs a heart rate variability reading in Apple Health, usually from an Apple Watch. Anything missing is left out, not counted as zero. Everything else in Arogya works without a watch.

Your first session is a few minutes of music chosen for you. There is nothing to do while it plays. Close your eyes, or let it run while you carry on with your day. The music opens slowly, so give it a couple of minutes.

The difference

Chosen, not shuffled.

What we won't claim

No claims about tones or sounds. No promise that any piece of music does anything for a health condition.

Where a piece is chosen for its mood rather than its traditional hour, Arogya says so. Where a reading is inferred from something else, a mood tone read from your heart rate variability, for instance, it names the signal it actually used.

Arogya reads from Apple Health. It never writes anything back. The dosha quiz is a self-assessment, not a diagnosis, and the Index is a wellness score, not a medical measurement.

The foundation

What is your type?

Ayurveda describes three types, called doshas. Each one is a pattern in how your body and mind tend to work. Knowing yours helps Arogya choose music that suits you.

Vata

Air & Space

The wind: quick, creative, always moving

Pitta

Fire & Water

The sun: sharp, intense, focused

Kapha

Earth & Water

The forest: calm, nurturing, grounded
